Bridgework: Case study – neglected and worn teeth
 

This gentleman had neglected his teeth for several years but had decided to get them sorted out and had already greatly improved his basic oral hygiene.

He has several grossly carious teeth, moderate wear mainly due to attrition and several missing teeth especially in the upper right quadrant.

Following discussion we agreed to bridge the lower left gap which provided coronal cover for the heavily restored molar. The upper right central incisor was beyond salvation and was removed.

The remaining upper and lower front teeth were crowned to restore them to their correct size and appearance. An upper removable plastic denture was then provided to replace the missing teeth.
