Mandy Lorton
BChD

Mandy qualified from Leeds University in 1987 with the degree of BChD in Dental Surgery. She completed a year of Vocational Training in General Dental Practice in Yorkshire and continued to work in General Dental Practice in Yorkshire until 1995, gaining eight years experience in all aspects of NHS and Private dental practice in a busy forward thinking practice. During this time she also worked as Clinical Assistant in Oral Surgery at Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield and gained further clinical experience in dentistry for Psychiatric and mentally handicapped patients at Stanley Royd Hospital in Wakefield.

 

In 1995 she worked in Dharamsala, Northern India for 18 months training Dental Therapists for the Charity Action Health. This involved running a twelve month intensive training course in Dental Therapy at a local hospital then planning and equipping five dental surgeries in both Northern and Southern India.

Since returning to the UK she has gained further experience in Private and NHS General Practice in Aberdeen and St Helens before joining the Team at the Eagle Brow Family Dental Practice. Mandy is currently studying for her MFGDip
